This hands-on professional learning session is designed to support teachers in scoring student responses on an Inquiry Design Model (IDM) assessment. After a brief norming and calibration activity to ensure alignment and consistency, the majority of the session will focus on scoring responses collaboratively.
This session will equip participants with practical strategies for selecting and teaching social studies vocabulary, demonstrate how to implement research-based practices like the Frayer Model and Concept Maps in the classroom, and provide tools to help students become more confident and independent learners of academic and content-specific language.
