This hands-on professional learning session is designed to support teachers in scoring student responses on an Inquiry Design Model (IDM) assessment. After a brief norming and calibration activity to ensure alignment and consistency, the majority of the session will focus on scoring responses collaboratively.
This session will explore the concept of a moot court, a role-play of an appeals court or Supreme Court hearing. Participants will learn how to engage students in preparing and presenting arguments on legal questions, such as the constitutionality of a law or the interpretation of a federal statute. Moot courts are an effective strategy for focusing student attention on underlying legal principles and concepts of justice.
This session will explore how AI can bring historical figures to life, allowing students to interact with characters like Alexander the Great, Cleopatra, or Genghis Khan. Participants will learn how to use AI to create engaging and educational experiences.
